Here we go again. I feel it. I can’t look back, can’t stop. Just breathe, breathe in, breathe out, let it go. I hear him, I hear his voice and I can’t shake it. I lift my eyes, I see the light. It’s time to be free and feel alive again. I think I know, I think I can do it this time all alone. I will be free, there’s only One I need. Tonight I see the moon, I see it like I’ve never seen before. I can smell it, taste it, feel it, touch it and yet I feel nothing. I do not love, I do not care. I only want to be free. Free from this thing you call love, thing you call luck, thing you call pain. I will not be here for them to see, I will have pride and glory.

SEVEN DANCE COMPANY

Seven is a Contemporary Dance company with aspiring objectives. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and create a new way of thinking through movement exploration. We are here to provide our community with quality, talent, and passion in the form of professional performing arts. We strive to give audiences of all ages, exposure to the world we love by creating exciting and innovative productions and also, by providing quality education to our community.

OVERVIEW

Under the artistic direction of Cassia Hinchman, Seven has produced creative new works combining a variety of dance styles including:  Ballet, lyrical, classical, contemporary, jazz, tap, and musical theater styles to create innovative works that are available and suitable for audiences of all ages.  Seven has had the amazing opportunity to work with choreographers such as Marlayna Locklear of DCDC, Joyelle Fobbs of Harlem Dance Theater, Molly Vass, Christa Schreidler, and Jarett Gardner.

Seven was founded in 2010 with a vision of hope.  A hope to inspire, encourage, create, and instill a love of dance in audiences from all walks of life. A vision of combining the assets of 2 worlds, art and community.  It is Seven’s goal to create a new way of thinking through movement exploration and to challenge its’ audiences to come together as a community and support each other. Seven strives to provide exposure to the arts for those who have not had the opportunity. Seven provides the community with positive role models to not only troubled youth but to aspiring dancers as well. We live in a world of doubts and fears but it is our goal to be a light and bring positivity to those in our community. It is our dream to provide a positive world of dance to those who are well seasoned in our world and also to those who are just beginning their dance journey.
